A G.E. C-30-7 diesel-electric locomotive from Ferronorte, bought second hand from the American B.N.S.F. - Burlington Northern Santa Fé railroad. This unit received the livery of Brasil Ferrovias - Ferronorte but still show the snow plough that will be useless in tropical Brazil... Similar units received more recently entered in commercial service with their original B.N.S.F. livery. At that time this loco was being used as a traction helper for heavy soya trains running between Araraquara and São Carlos.
