This photo shows a FEPASA Panorama-São Paulo passenger train (PP6) stopped at the Jundiaí station, in 1985. It is headed by a GE 4,400 HP electric locomotive, originally supplied to the E.F. Central do Brasil in the early sixties. With the scrapping of the electrification system in that railroad in the early eighties, these locomotives were transfered to the E.F. Santos a Jundiaí. Normally there was a locomotive change at Jundiaí station, as this was the intersection point between FEPASA and E.F. Santos a Jundiaí. These locomotives, however, were put out of commercial service by the end of 1996, when the private company M.R.S. took over the former E.F. Santos a Jundiaí lines. One of such machines was seen at the Água Branca station in 1999. This photo is courtesy of Paulo Cury, from Jundiaí SP, who kindly sent a copy to the E.F. Brasil site.
