A Evangelista de Souza-bound touristic train formed by Budd-Mafersa stainless cars pulled by an E.M.D. GL-8 diesel-electric locomotive stopped at the #16 tunnel. Certainly the train stopped there in order to allow passengers to see and photograph the Véu de Noiva ("Bride's Veil") waterfall. Note that at that time the railroad line in the Serra do Mar was still single. Photo from the 1990 Annual Report of Ferrovias Paulistas S.A.; this copy is a kind courtesy of Rafael Correa, from São Paulo SP.
