An Hitachi 1000 HP diesel-electric rack locomotive, used as emergency locomotive in the rack system at the Serra do Mar. It is named Sapatona ("big shoe"). The normal version of this machine has electric traction. This photo, shot by André Carrijo Galesso, was kindly distributed by him at the E.F.
