Some days after the end of passenger service in the former FEPASA lines, a fire suddenly broke at the cars stopped at Jundiaí switchyards, approximately at 14:00 of May 29, 2001. The quick action of Jundiaí's city fire brigade prevented total destruction of the fleet there, but some cars were severely damaged.
