This is a train built by Mafersa during the eighties for the East-West line, showing a new livery with coloured ads which also cover the windows. The East-West line São Paulo Metrô is served by 47 trains; 22 units of this kind and 25 built by Cobrasma. The North-South line is served by 51 Mafersa trains built during the seventies. The Southeast line operates with borrowed trains from the North-South and East-West lines, as it has no own trains. This photo was shot by Cid José Beraldo, from São Paulo SP, who kindly sent one copy and info about the trains to these pages.
