A Southern E.M.D. SD40-2 diesel-electric locomotive, similar to those used at E.F. Central do Brasil. However, there are some differences between these models: this one has high short hood, while E.F.C.B.'s machines have low short hood. In the U.S.A. only the Norfolk and Western and Southern used SD-40's with high short hood. The copy of this photo is courtesy of Hermes Yoiti Hinuy, from São Paulo SP.
