This photo shows the viaduct #10 of the so called Serra Nova line, then in construction. This line was abandoned in the mid-eighties after the construction of a pinion-and-rack system in the other funicular line, Serra Velha. It was taken at June 19, 1899 by David Adolf Ockrassa, and is courtesy of his grandson, Aldo Campos, from São Paulo SP.
