In 2019, the Port Huron & Detroit sent their Alco S-2 #60 to Brookville Equipment Corporation to be remanufactured with a Cummins QSK38 and an AC drivetrain.

The remanufactured machine does not look very much like the original Alco (Brookville stripped off the hood and put a new one over the new drivetrain), but consumes much less fuel for a higher-horsepower machine.
