In the 1990s, after the renamed corpse of what used to be the Boston & Maine abandoned the Northern Railroad’s line from Concord to White River Junction, the Central Vermont leased the western end (White River Junction to Lebanon) to continue to serve a team track in Lebanon, the Grafton Pit, and a few industries in West Lebanon proper.
In 2010, the CV spun this branch off as the Lebanon Branch Railroad, which immediately electrified itself at 3000vdc (later joined to the CV electrification when that was extended from Montpelier to White River Junction.)
It continues to operate today.
